Title: Completed/Resolved   Classroom attendance system
Description: The classroom attendance system has been experiencing difficulties over the course of the Fall 2017 term so far. It seems that all student swipes are being recorded but students are not showing up as having attended the class. We are currently working on the problem and hope to have it resolved soon. Students should swipe in when they attend class as normal.
Technical Description: Swipes are being recorded but the data update to tie the class to the swipe is failing in many cases.

Update 9/21/2017 - A new problem appeared around noon on 9/21. The web page is not showing any attendance information currently. We are working to get this fixed ASAP. This is our top priority at the moment. INC0343731 is the first report we got of this new issue.

Update 9/22 some data from the afternoon of 9/21 is not showing up but will be fixed this afternoon.

9/27 - Data from the afternoon of 9/21 should be cleaned up. Also all past swipes should be cleaned up for Fall 2017 except for the Math Achievement Program, I will continue to run the update for that throughout the day as more bad data continues to be recorded.

9/28 - The database server seems stable since ~ 10pm last night. I am continuing to run the course ID update regularly until it can be scheduled. Things should look normal to end users but there could be up to a 15 minute delay before attendance shows up on the roster.
Resolution: The system should be working as expected. We have a couple other steps we will continue to work on to continue to improve things. We fixed a sql bug, cleaned up some data, and changed database structure to improve things. As of now attendance will be updated every 15 minutes.
